Custom Iron Gates in Sacramento, Built to Order

Bespoke driveway and pedestrian gates fabricated in our own Sacramento shop and installed by our own crew, finished to match your fence and your home.

A gate is the first thing people see at your property and the one piece of ironwork that gets used every single day, so it has to look right and swing true for years. At Iron-Caz Fencing we design and weld custom iron gates in Sacramento from scratch in our own shop on Auburn Blvd, which means the pickets, the spacing, the arch of the top rail, and the finials are all chosen for your driveway and not pulled off a warehouse shelf.

Whether you want a wide swing or slide driveway gate for vehicles, a matching pedestrian gate for the walkway, or both tied together so the property reads as one design, owner Daniel Hernandez Cazares and his crew handle the measuring, fabrication, finishing, and install. No subcontractors, no guesswork about who built what.

Driveway & Pedestrian

Driveway and Pedestrian Gates Made to Fit

Most Sacramento driveways are not a clean, level rectangle, and an off-the-shelf gate ends up dragging, gapping, or sitting crooked against the slope. We measure your opening, check the grade and the swing path, and build the gate frame to suit it, whether that means a single leaf, a double-swing pair that meets in the middle, or a slide gate where space is tight.

Pedestrian gates get the same attention. We match the picket size and top-rail profile to the driveway gate and your fence so the walk-through entry doesn't look like an afterthought, and we set the hinges and latch height for everyday use.

  • Single-swing, double-swing, and slide driveway gates sized to your exact opening
  • Self-closing, child-safe pedestrian gates that meet pool-code spacing where required
  • Frames squared and braced so wide gates don't sag over time
  • Hinge posts set in concrete, sized to carry the gate's real weight
  • Matching pedestrian and driveway gates designed as one set

Design Details

Scrollwork, Finials, and Matching Your Fence

This is where a custom gate earns its name. We can keep it clean and modern with horizontal slats and a flat top, or dress it up with hand-shaped scrollwork, a gentle arch, and decorative finials. Spear, ball, and fleur-de-lis tops are all common requests, and we fabricate the scroll panels in-house so they're proportioned to the gate rather than mass-stamped.

The most important detail is that the gate matches the fence it lives in. If you already have iron fencing, we replicate the picket diameter, spacing, and finish so the new gate blends in. If we're building the fence too, we design both together from the start.

  • Custom scrollwork panels and accent rings shaped in our shop
  • Spear, ball, and fleur-de-lis finials, or a clean flat top
  • Arched, raised-center, or level top rails to match your home's style
  • Picket diameter and spacing matched to existing iron fence
  • Decorative metalwork and house-number or monogram accents on request

Built to Last

Powder-Coat Finishes Built for the Sacramento Valley

Sacramento summers are brutal on metal and our wet winters are worse, so finish matters as much as the steel underneath. We galvanize or prime our gates and then powder-coat them, which gives a hard, even, rust-resistant finish that holds up far better than brushed-on paint in this climate. Black is the classic choice, but we can match nearly any color.

Because everything is welded in our own shop, the joints are solid steel rather than bolted brackets, which is what keeps a heavy driveway gate from racking out of square after a few hot-cold cycles. We're licensed and insured (CA CSLB #1129247) with 15+ years building ironwork across the region.

  • Powder-coat or galvanized finishes that resist rust through hot summers and wet winters
  • Fully welded steel joints, not bolt-together brackets
  • Color matched to your fence, railings, or trim
  • Built and installed by our own crew, no subcontractors

FAQ

Common questions

Can you add an automatic opener to a custom iron gate?

Yes. We design driveway gates to be operator-ready and can install gate openers for swing or slide gates, sizing the gate weight and hinge posts to the operator. If you'd prefer to start manual and automate later, we'll build it so that upgrade is straightforward.

Will the new gate match my existing iron fence?

That's one of our main goals on a custom job. We match the picket diameter, spacing, top-rail profile, and finish color so the gate reads as part of the same fence line rather than a separate add-on. Bring us a photo or let us see it on the free estimate visit.

How long does a custom iron gate take?

Because each gate is fabricated to your opening in our Sacramento shop, lead time depends on size, design complexity, and finish. We'll give you a realistic timeline with your estimate. Plain pedestrian gates move faster than large double-swing driveway gates with scrollwork and powder-coating.

Do you make pedestrian gates that meet pool code?

Yes. We build self-closing, self-latching pedestrian gates with picket spacing and latch height that meet California pool-barrier requirements. Tell us the gate is for a pool area on your estimate and we'll spec it accordingly.
