Welded Wire and Modern Slat Fence Installation in Sacramento

Clean, contemporary fencing built for Sacramento yards — welded-wire (hog panel) for an open, see-through look and horizontal metal slats for privacy with a modern edge. Fabricated in our own shop, installed by our own crew.

If you want a fence that reads modern instead of traditional, two styles do most of the heavy lifting around Sacramento right now: welded-wire (hog panel) fencing and horizontal slat fencing. Welded-wire keeps sightlines open — you can frame a garden, contain a dog, or border a patio without boxing the yard in. Horizontal slats run flat metal or steel bars across a frame for a crisp, architectural privacy screen that suits the newer builds in Natomas, East Sacramento, and the Folsom/El Dorado Hills corridor.

Iron-Caz Fencing Corp builds both. We weld and finish the panels in our Auburn Blvd shop, then our own installers set the posts and hang the panels — no subcontractors handed your project. Everything is powder-coated or galvanized to hold up to the Valley's hot, dry summers and damp winters, so the finish stays put instead of chalking or rusting at the welds.

Open & Affordable

Welded-Wire (Hog Panel) Fencing for an Open, Modern Look

Welded-wire fencing uses heavy-gauge steel mesh — often called hog panel or stock panel — set inside a clean steel or wood frame. The result is a fence you can see through: it defines a boundary and keeps pets and kids contained without the closed-in feel of solid panels. It's a favorite for vegetable gardens, dog runs, side yards, and modern-farmhouse front yards where you still want the view.

Because the mesh is rigid welded steel rather than woven chain link, it sits flat, doesn't sag, and looks intentional rather than utilitarian. We frame the panels in powder-coated steel for a sharp black-on-green look that's become the go-to for contemporary Sacramento landscaping.

  • Heavy-gauge welded steel mesh in a powder-coated steel or wood-and-steel frame
  • Open sightlines — ideal for gardens, dog runs, and modern front yards
  • Rigid panels that stay flat and won't sag like chain link
  • Black powder-coat finish that blends into landscaping and resists rust
  • Matching welded-wire gates fabricated to the same panel pattern

Privacy, Modern Edge

Horizontal Slat Fencing — Contemporary Privacy in Steel

Horizontal slat fences run flat metal bars or tubes across a steel frame, spaced tight for full privacy or with a deliberate reveal between slats for airflow and a lighter look. It's the cleanest way to get a privacy fence that matches modern and mid-century architecture — far more durable than wood slats, which warp and gray out in the Sacramento sun.

We size the slat width, spacing, and post layout to your run, then powder-coat the whole assembly in the color you choose. The same horizontal language carries into matching driveway and pedestrian gates, so the front of the property reads as one cohesive design.

  • Flat steel or aluminum slats, spaced for full privacy or open reveal
  • Won't warp, splinter, or fade like wood horizontal fencing
  • Custom slat width, gap, and post spacing built to your exact run
  • Powder-coat color matched across fence, gates, and railings
  • Pairs with horizontal-slat driveway and pedestrian gates

In-House Build

Fabricated and Installed by Iron-Caz in Sacramento

Both styles are welded and finished in our own Sacramento shop at 5526 Auburn Blvd, then installed by our crew — not handed off to a subcontractor. That means the welds, spacing, and finish are consistent from the panel you approve to the fence on your property. We're licensed and insured (CA CSLB #1129247) with 15+ years building iron and steel fencing across the region.

Every project starts with a free on-site estimate so we can check grade, measure runs, and confirm post layout before anything is fabricated. We serve Sacramento and roughly 80 miles out, including Roseville, Folsom, Elk Grove, Rocklin, and Davis.

  • Panels and gates welded in our own Auburn Blvd shop
  • Installed by Iron-Caz crew — no subcontractors
  • Powder-coat and galvanized finishes built for Valley summers and wet winters

FAQ

Common questions

What's the difference between welded-wire and chain-link fencing?

Welded-wire (hog panel) uses rigid steel mesh welded at every intersection, so it sits flat and looks intentional. Chain link is woven wire that flexes and sags over time. For a modern look we frame welded-wire panels in powder-coated steel, which reads far cleaner than chain link.

Are horizontal slat fences private?

They can be. We can set the slats tight together for full privacy, or leave a deliberate gap between them for airflow and a lighter, more open look. We'll size the spacing to what you want during the on-site estimate.

Will the finish hold up to Sacramento summers?

Yes. We powder-coat or galvanize the steel, which resists the UV, heat, and damp-winter cycle of the Sacramento Valley far better than painted or untreated metal. Unlike wood slat fences, it won't warp, splinter, or gray out in the sun.

Do you build matching gates for these fences?

We do. Because we fabricate everything in-house, we build welded-wire and horizontal-slat gates — pedestrian and driveway — in the same panel pattern and powder-coat color so the whole property matches. Automated gate openers can be added too.
